Bottle Shock

YEAR: 2008 RATED: PG-13
Based on a true story, Bill Pullman and Alan Rickman lead a cast surrounding the 1970's stunning defeat of French wines in a blind taste test by the almost unknown Napa Valley wines from California. I expected the story to surround the competition more, but the majority of the film actually takes place in California. The film is beautifully shot, but a bit jumpy in plot at times and I think it could have been told in a smoother fashion. Either way, if you're a wine enthusiast or just interested in the story, this is a good one to check out.
