In his follow up to Borat, Sasha Baron Cohen brings us gay fashion "uber" reporter, Bruno. As he treks across the world in a story that is loosely tied together by the fashion industry, the audience is given a very vulgar, pornographic, and unscripted look into his reporting life. In shocking interviews with Ron Paul, swingers, military recruiters, religious folks, Bruno ensures that every opportunity to do or say something shocking is taken. Honestly, it's a funny movie at times, but so incredibly vulgar and obscene that it's more of a "one-time viewing" movie, if you can handle it. |

The creator of Borat returns with a gay Austrian fashion designer who is trying to become a "star" in America. Although I found myself laughing at some points, I found myself in total shock at what I was seeing on screen. I have no clue how some of this made it past the censors. Segments of the film are basically gay porn on screen. That being said, it is crazy, over-the-top and sometimes funny but nowhere near as good as the classic Borat! |
