The Soloist

YEAR: 2009 RATED: PG-13
While I'm a fan of Jamie Foxx, Robert Downey Jr., and even Beethoven, this film didn't click for me the way I hoped. Downey stars as an LA Times columnist who discovers a homeless man that claims he went to Juliard to play the cello. The movie is really well made, as is the music, and acting. But I felt it dragged on a bit, and you didn't really care about either of the two main characters. It's a good movie, and perhaps worth a ticket price, but I'd watch this on DVD when you have a free night.
