The Terminator series jumps into the future a few more years this time, and the "resistance" leader John Conner is played by Christian Bale. In this role, Bale brings his A game and the movie as a whole is a terrific time at the movies for some summer action. The thrilling scenes almost never stop, the effects are top of the line, and you really make use of the full theater experience with seat-rumbling explosions and eye popping visuals. Ultimately this might not win any awards or be your first DVD purchase, but it really delivers on every action level that you expect from this movie franchise. |

The Terminator series picks up in the future following "Judgment Day" and John Connor (Christian Bale) is leading the resistance. The film has some of the best action you can see in theatres. However, the film is really lacking in emotional depth and it feels rather rushed. The film falls way short of the great mix of drama and action found in Terminator 2 but most films do. The best part of the film is actually the character played by newcomer Sam Worthington. Salvation is on par with T3 and is still an entertaining film for fans of the series. |
