YEAR: 2009 RATED: PG-13

If you liked the first movie, you'll like this one. Let's be honest here, it's got top notch action, computer graphics, special effects, explosions, humor, and well you get the idea. The part about this movie I liked as well was the mixing of a bunch of real life military jets and other technology in with the robot fighting. Granted, the story (like the first one) is a very simple "good vs evil" fight surrounding a single alien object. However I doubt you'd see this movie to spur any thought provoking conversations afterward. Be sure to watch this in high def and surround sound to get the full experience.

Quite simply, Transformers 2 is exactly like the first film, only on steroids. If you enjoyed the first film and realize that it is a fun, over-the-top, summer popcorn flick full of amazing visuals, cheesy dialogue and plenty of comic relief, then you will enjoy the sequel. My only problems with the film were its running time, 2.5 hours, was 30 minutes too long and a few too many cheesy jokes. Visually, the film is absolutely stunning and definitely worthy of a theater viewing. Just make sure you walk in expecting a summer popcorn film.
